I think the case should be stated to the Treasury, and then they can decide.
No doubt Sir H. Aston has put Mr. Fortescue into a position entailing expense by forcing Lavring to sell his furniture by auction instead of selling it to him at a valuation. If he had remained in the island, he would have had one. This business is for the sake of examining whether this inculpation be on Mr. H. Atkinson's reasoning.
